MCA continues to spread some love in 2024, some wildflower love that is! Join us for a workshop to make “seed bombs”, soil and clay-based balls filled with native seeds, that will be artificially stratified before being planted in sunny spots along Mill Creek this spring. In addition, we will repeat last years strategy of “winter sowing”, a technique used to overwinter seeds outdoors using recycled milk jugs. (Please bring empty and clean milk jugs!)
Click HERE to register. The workshop is FREE and open to the public. DUE TO HIGH DEMAND, we will divide the group into two sessions, morning from 10-12 and afternoon from 1:30-3:30. (Those who already registered, MCA will check in with you Feb 1 to find out which session you prefer.)
Seed bombs and “mini-greenhouses/milk jugs” will be stored at Mill Creek Alliance until the planting events in March and April.
EVENT will be held at the MCA clubhouse. The size of the group may require time / location modification. Registration will be limited/closed once it reaches capacity. Register early to secure a spot.
