Bio Blitz! on the Mill Creek

BioBlitz_Final.jpg

Mill Creek Alliance, with support from Patagonia, The Benchmark Outdoor Outfitters, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, and The Nature Conservancy in Ohio, will be conducting a Mill Creek BioBlitz on June 1st!

"A BioBlitz is an event that focuses on finding and identifying as many species as possible in a specific area over a short period of time. At a BioBlitz, scientists, families, students, teachers, and other community members work together to get an overall count of the plants, animals, fungi, and other organisms that live in a place."

We have brought in plant and animal experts to help lead the identification of all the plants and animals that can be found. These experts will include staff from The Nature Conservancy, University of Cincinnati, Buckeye United Fly Fishers, and Hamilton County Soil and Water Conservation District.

All are welcome and no expertise is necessary. We will be conducting the BioBlitz along the Mill Creek Greenway Trail at 4336 Spring Grove Ave. (Salway Park) on Saturday June 1st at 10:00am. Come anytime, expert groups will leave every half hour.
