Bio Blitz! on the Mill Creek

Mill Creek Alliance, with support from Patagonia and The Benchmark Outdoor Outfitters, will be conducting a Mill Creek "BioBlitz" on June 1st!

"A BioBlitz is an event that focuses on finding and identifying as many species as possible in a specific area over a short period of time. At a BioBlitz, scientists, families, students, teachers, and other community members work together to get an overall count of the plants, animals, fungi, and other organisms that live in a place."

We have brought in plant and animal experts to help lead the identification of all the plants and animals that can be found. These experts will include staff from The Nature Conservancy, University of Cincinnati professors, Xavier University professors, local environmental restoration contractors, and a local fly fishing group.

All are welcome and no expertise is necessary. We will be conducting the BioBlitz along the Mill Creek Greenway Trail at 4336 Spring Grove Ave. (Salway Park) on Saturday June 1st at 10am.

Please stay tuned for more details.
