RECREATION on the Mill Creek is RESURGING

Cincinnati is lucky to have an urban stream. It is a rich part of our community history. While the Mill Creek was neglected for many years, Mill Creek Alliance is working tirelessly to achieve cleaner water and bring life back to the stream in the form of HUMANS! We are excited to have regular outdoor activities happening on the creek and are busy planning for future opportunities.

Mill Creek Yacht Club

The MCYC, with its founder Commodore Koehler, hosts many public stream adventures, cleanups, and other fun activities in the water!

Mill Creek Bioblitz

Each year, Mill Creek Alliance offers the opportunity for outdoor enthusiasts to get involved in Citizen Science. Do you watch birds? Love to identify trees? Have a passion for flowers? Know your insects? Fish?

Join us in gathering data about the species found in the Mill Creek Watershed. Visit our iNaturalist Project page where we are set up for annual data collection of various species.

Mill Creek Canoe Trip Details

If you are an experienced paddler and have attended a MCYC Public Stream Adventure on the Mill Creek, you might be ready to paddle the Mill Creek on your own.

(We recommend you paddle with the MCYC at least once before embarking on your own so you can learn about the challenges on the Mill Creek.)

Bike Paddle Loops

During the COVID19 stay, the MCYC developed a series of Bike Paddle Loops on the Mill Creek that offer a safe way to spend time on the creek while maintaining safe physical distance.
