Cincinnati Conservation Stewards
Trained Service Person (TSP) Qualifier
TSP Qualifier Events are scheduled for volunteers pending certification. Volunteers who have passed the Cincinnati Conservation Stewards (CCS) Pesticide Application eLearning module and have at least 10 hours of conservation service at a Cincinnati Parks, Mill Creek Alliance, or Cardinal Land Conservancy conservation site are able to register for one of the qualifier events. Staff will be on site to certify volunteers and ensure plant ID. This is the final step in the certification process. It is a practical test with a written component: candidates will be handed a clipboard with 10 questions that correspond with ten plants flagged along a trail. The purpose of this test is to verify that volunteers are able to identify honeysuckle. There is also a brief demonstration on proper cutting techniques and application of herbicide.
The TSP qualifier test hosted by MCA is taking place just before our November Workparty which takes place from 10am-1pm. Please join us after your test if you can!

PPE: Close-toed shoes, long sleeves, long pants, hat, protective eyewear, sunscreen, work gloves, etc
Loppers, handsaws, and other labeled personal tools
Water and snacks
Inclement weather cancels the event. Details for gatherings will be provided to registered participants before the event.
