Join Us for a Fall Migration Bird Walk

We'll gather, count, and learn at this kickoff event celebrating the Mill Creek Bird Trail!

MCA invites you to join Mill Creek expert Stan Hedeen on a guided birding walk at Twin Creek Preserve as our kickoff event celebrating the new Mill Creek Birding Trail. We’ll explore the preserve, learn about tech tools that will help us to identify as many species as we can, and have a chat about bird habitats in riparian zones. Bring your binoculars or borrow a pair of ours, and check out one of many Mill Creek birding hotspots!

Stan Hedeen is an author, ecologist, and dean emeritus at Xavier University. His 1995 book, The Mill Creek: An Unnatural History of an Urban Stream, detailed human impacts on the creek and helped initiate the restoration efforts that resound across the watershed today.
