Previous Forest Park Mayor, Aharon Brown, was inducted into the MCYC after paddling at the 2022 Canoes & Conversations event.

Join us as we welcome elected officials, community leaders, families and friends to experience the many wonders of the Mill Creek and the simple joy of spending time outdoors.

Guests may choose an adventure from among these activities:

  • Explore Mill Creek scenery during a guided canoe paddle.

  • Enjoy a scenic bike ride along the Mill Creek Greenway Trail.

  • Take a guided nature walk and learn to identify trees and read the landscape. Hear about exciting ideas for forest activation, pop-up building and dock, floating “creek bar”, boathouse, lookout tower and more.

  • Cast your line and join our fishing adventure.

  • Participate in a hands-on adventure to assess stream water quality and habitat.

  • Talk with neighbors & agencies about what’s happening in the Beekman Corridor

We’ll also have food, popsicles, refreshments, live music, water dancing, a photo opportunity with Mr. Redlegs and more! What a fun way to learn about the social, economic, recreational, environmental, health and transportation benefits associated with the Mill Creek’s pedestrian and water trails.
