Teasel Take Down 2025!
Seeking volunteers to help with MCA restoration
Dipsacus fullonum, known as teasel, is an invasive species impacting our watershed. Help us eliminate this invasive threat this summer!
Register to participate and the MCA restoration department will be in touch about the project and how to identify teasel. Then, volunteers will be able to come work at their leisure throughout the summer. We will also host Teasel Takedown workparties on the 1st and 3rd Mondays of each month, June through September, at Twin Creek Preserve, so that volunteers can work together on the project..
Recommended tools and supplies to bring with you:
Work clothes: long sleeves, long pants, hat, protective eyewear, sunscreen, work gloves, and closed-toed shoes that may get muddy
Tools: shears, gloves, buckets, trash bags
Refillable water bottle and snacks
(We have a small bank of tools and supplies available to borrow. Please contact Pip before an event.)
Details will be provided to registered participants before the event.
