MCYC Urban Stream Adventure

MCYC and MCA invite you to join us on Mill Creek for an urban stream adventure. Paddling with the seasoned guides of the Mill Creek Yacht Club is the best way to experience the wonders of the Mill Creek while learning about our long-abused but surprisingly resurgent urban stream.

Join the Commodore and other Yacht Club veterans on Saturday, June 19th, as we explore the Mill Creek in our boats. On this urban stream adventure you will gain panoramic views of stream channelization, enjoy the beauty of tree-lined riparian corridor, and be a part of a MCYC Stream Adventure.

During COVID, we have been offering shuttle free options for participants. If you wish, you can bring a bike and pedal with the group from the take out to the put in before the paddle. Otherwise, there will be a vehicle shuttle available at the end of the paddle, back to the put in.

The paddling voyage will commence in Spring Grove Village near Mitchell Avenue and finish at the Yellow Bridge at Mill Creek Road, a distance of about 5 miles. We will spend about 3 hours on the water with educational stops along the way, plus about an hour of combined time on the land before and after paddling.  Water level may create need for last minute changes in plan and/or dragging of canoes at times.

Registration on Eventbrite required.
