Event Details
Guests will enjoy an open bar, appetizers, a plated dinner, entertainment, and fundraising activities including a paddle raise and silent auction. There will be presentations and testimonials honoring the Mill Creek Alliance Past, Present, and Future. The emcee for the event is WGRR Radio Broadcaster Jim Day who is well known for his lighthearted sense of humor.

Mayor RIchard
“Dick” Finan
Mayor Finan, a proud member of the Mill Creek Yacht Club and an key advocate for the Triangle Trail, has a long history of political involvement in the State of Ohio. Currently he is the Mayor of the Village of Evendale, a leader in many local and statewide advocacy groups, as well as an award winning leader in the community. Mayor Finan and the Village of Evendale have taken an interest in the Mill Creek as it contributes to the community and are strong supporters of MCA.
Mayor Ruby
Kinsey-Mumphrey
Mayor Ruby has served as the leader of the Village of Lincoln Heights since 2016. Her background is in Finance Accounting, Tax Advising, and Business Management. She has long been a supporter of Mill Creek Alliance policy, programs and events, including Canoes & Conversations. Mayor Mumphrey is serving a second term on MCA’s Board of Directors, actively engaging in trail planning. Ongoing improvements to the Mill Creek and its effect on the health of her community and the children who live there is important to her.
Bruce “Commodore” Koehler
Bruce has been involved in Mill Creek revival since 1993, when he worked as an environmental planner for Ohio-Kentucky-Indiana Regional Council of Governments (OKI) and became a part of the Mill Creek Watershed Steering Committee. After far too many Mill Creek board room meetings he accepted an old canoe and set sail on the maiden voyage of Mill Creek Yacht Club. Bruce is an emeritus member of the MCA Board of Directors.
Brewster Rhoads
Brewster is a bold and strong environmental advocate. He has been actively involved in local non-profts for over 50 years, including: Mill Creek Alliance, Adventure Crew, Green Umbrella, Mill Creek Restoration Project, Ohio River Way, Ohio Environmental Council Action Fund, Innovation Ohio, and more. He is an avid outdoorsman, including kayaking, cycling, and fishing.
